RIP Chat Forum of 22+ years from February 20, 2002 - December 11, 2023

Unfortunately, the YaBB 2.4 chat forum software we had been using since February 20, 2002 became obsolete. It simply stopped working on December 11, 2023 while we were migrating our Great Feet site to a new server.

On a related note, the main developers behind the YaBB software had moved on many years ago to develop software for the Simple Machines forum, and the YaBB forum support page was shuttered a few years after that.

To be quite frank about it, it was surprising that our chat forum lasted as long as it did given that the Perl modules it needed to operate became obsolete on modern servers.

The phpBB chat forum here on the Tied and Tickled sister site of Great Feet is not meant to replace our old forum. After all, chat forums have pretty much gone the way of social media.

Note: Because of multiple attempted spam posts throughout the day, including automated ones due to AI (Artificial Intelligence), registration for this forum has been disabled. No worries, though. If you want to register for an account so that you can post comments, simply let Bill know by sending a message to his gfwebmaster@greatfeet.com email address.

If you decide to become a member of this chat forum, let Bill know what your username should be, but do not provide your chosen password. Instead, you'll be given a password that you'll be able change in your "User Control Panel" after you log in to your account.
